About the Role

The Culture & Engagement Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Harvest in the Gardens' culture, engagement, recognition, wellness, and team member experience initiatives.

Reporting to the People & Talent Director, you will partner with leaders across the organization to strengthen workplace culture, coordinate engagement programs, support onboarding experiences, and help cultivate an environment where every team member feels connected to our mission and values.

Your work will help reinforce Harvest in the Gardens as an employer of choice while supporting the organization's commitment to developing exceptional people.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & Team Member Engagement

  • Coordinate initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and team member engagement.

  • Plan activities that promote collaboration, appreciation, and connection across departments.

  • Support programs that reinforce Harvest in the Gardens' mission, values, and leadership philosophy.

  • Encourage participation in engagement initiatives throughout the organization.

Recognition & Appreciation Programs

  • Coordinate employee recognition and appreciation initiatives.

  • Support milestone celebrations, service anniversaries, birthdays, and organizational events.

  • Assist in administering recognition programs and engagement awards.

  • Help create meaningful experiences that celebrate individual and team achievements.

Onboarding & Team Member Experience

  • Support the onboarding experience for new team members.

  • Coordinate orientation logistics and welcome activities.

  • Help ensure new hires feel informed, supported, and connected from their first day.

  • Gather feedback to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

Wellness & Community Initiatives

  • Coordinate wellness activities and team-building programs.

  • Support volunteer opportunities and community engagement initiatives.

  • Promote programs that encourage wellbeing, inclusion, and a positive workplace environment.

  • Assist with internal campaigns that strengthen organizational connectedness.

Communication & Administrative Support

  • Assist with internal communications related to engagement initiatives.

  • Coordinate event logistics, schedules, vendors, and supplies.

  • Maintain engagement calendars and participation records.

  • Track engagement metrics and assist with reporting and program evaluations.


What a Typical Week Looks Like

This is a highly collaborative role that balances planning with hands-on execution.

  • 35–40%: Planning and coordinating engagement initiatives and events

  • 25–30%: Supporting onboarding, recognition, and team member experiences

  • 20–25%: Collaborating with leaders across departments

  • 10–15%: Administrative coordination, reporting, and communication

Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required to support special events, celebrations, and organizational activities.

You will be expected to:

  • Build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the property.

  • Coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Create experiences that strengthen culture and team member engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Hospitality, Communications, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in employee engagement, human resources, hospitality, event coordination, organizational culture, or a related role.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and event coordination abilities.

  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard workplace technology.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting employee engagement, culture, or recognition programs.

  • Hospitality, service, or guest-focused industry experience.

  • Experience coordinating internal events, wellness initiatives, or onboarding programs.

  • Knowledge of employee engagement surveys, recognition platforms, or HR systems.

  • Passion for creating positive workplace experiences and developing people.
