Marketing & Creative Services Director
Marketing & Creative Services Director
Bahamas Harvest Church (BHC) & Harvest in the Gardens (HITG) — Nassau, Bahamas
Build the Voice. Advance the Mission. Grow the Brand.
Bahamas Harvest Church (BHC) and Harvest in the Gardens (HITG) are seeking a strategic, creative, commercially minded, and values-driven Marketing & Creative Services Director to lead marketing, communications, branding, digital strategy, and creative services across two connected—but distinctly different—organizations.
This is not a traditional marketing role.
It requires a leader who can move comfortably between ministry and marketplace—someone who understands the responsibility of communicating on behalf of a Christian church while also possessing the commercial discipline required to help grow a hospitality and entertainment destination.
Bahamas Harvest Church is a Christian ministry committed to faith, community, service, transformation, and helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. Communication at BHC is an extension of ministry. It should connect people, support ministry participation, communicate vision, tell stories of impact, and consistently reflect the heart and values of the church.
Harvest in the Gardens is a hospitality and entertainment destination bringing together dining, entertainment, events, retail, and community experiences. HITG requires deliberate, measurable marketing that builds awareness, creates demand, drives traffic, promotes programming, strengthens individual concepts, and supports commercial growth.
The Marketing & Creative Services Director is responsible for giving both organizations the strategic focus they require—advancing the ministry voice of BHC while building the visibility, relevance, engagement, and growth engine of HITG.
About the Role
The Marketing & Creative Services Director leads the strategy and execution of:
- Marketing and communications
- Brand positioning and stewardship
- Digital and social strategy
- Campaign development
- Creative services
- Content and storytelling
- Advertising and media
- Events and programming promotion
- Audience and community engagement
- Marketing planning and performance measurement
The successful candidate must be able to protect two distinct voices without allowing either organization to become secondary.
For BHC, success means communication that is spiritually sensitive, intentional, clear, engaging, and aligned with the mission and culture of the church.
For HITG, success means marketing that creates awareness, moves people toward the destination, supports business priorities, and contributes to measurable commercial outcomes.
What You’ll Do
BHC Ministry Marketing & Communications
- Partner with pastoral, executive, and ministry leaders to understand BHC’s vision, priorities, ministries, services, conferences, outreach, events, and community initiatives.
- Translate ministry direction into clear, compelling, and timely communication.
- Develop communication and promotional plans for worship services, sermon series, ministry programmes, conferences, outreach initiatives, special events, and church-wide activities.
- Protect and strengthen BHC’s voice so that communications consistently reflect its Christian mission, values, culture, and pastoral direction.
- Develop storytelling around testimonies, ministry impact, community engagement, service, transformation, and life change.
- Strengthen BHC’s social media, website, digital communications, and community engagement.
- Maintain a coordinated ministry communications calendar and ensure creative requirements are identified early.
- Help ministry leaders clearly communicate opportunities for people to attend, connect, serve, participate, give, and engage.
- Create structure around ministry communication requests so priorities are managed intentionally rather than reactively.
- Ensure all public-facing communication represents BHC with excellence, integrity, warmth, and appropriate spiritual sensitivity.
HITG Marketing & Commercial Growth
- Serve as a strategic marketing partner to the HITG General Manager and executive leadership.
- Translate HITG business priorities into marketing activity designed to support traffic, guest acquisition, engagement, and growth.
- Work closely with the Operations Director to understand outlet priorities, launches, promotions, operational opportunities, and guest-experience initiatives.
- Partner with the Entertainment & Events Director to build awareness, excitement, attendance, and traffic around programming, activations, events, and experiences.
- Develop targeted campaigns for HITG dining concepts, retail, entertainment, events, seasonal initiatives, launches, and special experiences.
- Build strategies designed to increase:
- Guest traffic
- Event attendance
- Brand awareness
- Guest acquisition
- Customer engagement
- Repeat visitation
- Revenue opportunities
- Ensure HITG maintains a strong, consistent, and relevant marketplace presence.
- Use campaign results, guest behaviour, digital insights, and business priorities to refine future marketing activity.
At HITG, the goal is not for the marketplace to ask:
“Is anything happening?”
The goal is:
“What is happening at HITG?”
Marketing Planning & PPK
- Own and continuously manage the HITG PPK as a key marketing and promotional planning framework.
- Develop annual, seasonal, monthly, and campaign-specific marketing plans.
- Connect outlet activity, events, programming, launches, holidays, and seasonal opportunities to an intentional marketing rhythm.
- Ensure major campaigns clearly define:
- Objective
- Target audience
- Message
- Channels
- Creative requirements
- Timing
- Budget
- Expected outcome
- Measurement
- Build sufficient lead time into the process so the creative team can produce quality work without operating in constant reaction mode.
- Review campaign performance and apply lessons to future planning.
Digital Marketing & Audience Growth
- Develop distinct digital strategies for BHC and HITG based on their different audiences and objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for social media, websites, digital campaigns, content, and audience engagement.
- Ensure digital platforms remain current, relevant, active, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Grow meaningful audience engagement rather than focusing only on posting volume.
- Monitor performance including reach, engagement, traffic, audience growth, campaign response, and other relevant indicators.
- Use data and audience insight to improve content and campaign decisions.
Brand & Creative Services Leadership
- Protect the distinct identity, positioning, tone, and visual standards of both BHC and HITG.

- Establish clear briefs, priorities, deadlines, standards, and accountability.
- Oversee creative execution across graphics, video, voiceovers, photography, advertising, digital content, events, and other public-facing media.
- Ensure creative output serves a defined ministry or business objective—not simply content production for its own sake.
BHC Volunteer Creative & Media Team
Volunteer leadership within this position applies specifically to Bahamas Harvest Church. HITG does not utilize volunteers within this function.
- Recruit and develop BHC creative and media volunteers.
- Maintain visibility of volunteer skills, availability, readiness, and development needs.
- Coordinate volunteers supporting BHC services, conferences, productions, events, and ministry initiatives.
- Establish onboarding, training, performance standards, and clear expectations.
- Coach and develop volunteers while building a sustainable pipeline of creative and media talent.
- Help volunteers understand that their contribution is an act of service supporting the mission and ministry of BHC.
- Ensure BHC volunteers report within the BHC ministry structure and are not utilized as volunteers within HITG operations.
Budget, Advertising & Resource Stewardship
- Develop and manage the marketing and creative-services budget.
