We are seeking a Director of Talent & Culture who will ensure effective recruitment, leadership development, and HR systems across both organizations.
About the Role
The Director of Talent & Culture is responsible for talent development, organizational culture, and HR systems across both HITG and Bahamas Harvest Church.
This includes:
• Recruitment and hiring coordination
• Onboarding and training systems
• Leadership development initiatives
• HR policies and compliance
• Payroll coordination and HR systems
This role operates as a shared service supporting leadership and teams across both environments.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring Coordination
• Coordinate recruitment processes across HITG and BHC
• Partner with leaders to support effective hiring decisions
• Ensure hiring practices are structured and consistent
• Maintain timely staffing across all areas
Onboarding & Training Systems
• Oversee onboarding processes across both organizations
• Support development and implementation of training programs
• Ensure team members are prepared for their roles
• Maintain consistency in training standards
Leadership Development
• Support development of leaders across HITG and BHC
• Contribute to coaching and leadership initiatives
• Reinforce leadership expectations and accountability
• Strengthen leadership capability across teams
HR Policies & Compliance
• Maintain HR policies aligned with employment regulations
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace standards
• Oversee documentation and personnel record management
• Provide guidance to leaders on HR-related matters
Payroll & HR Systems Coordination
• Oversee payroll coordination across both organizations
• Maintain HR systems and employee data integrity
• Ensure HR processes operate accurately and consistently
• Monitor reporting and system reliability
Culture & Employee Engagement
• Support initiatives that promote a strong work environment
• Reinforce organizational values across teams
• Encourage engagement and collaboration across both environments
What a Typical Week Looks Like
This is a coordination-focused leadership role supporting both strategy and operations.
• 30–35%: Recruitment and staffing coordination
• 20–25%: HR systems, payroll, and compliance
• 20–25%: Leadership development and training
• 15–20%: Culture and engagement initiatives
This role works across both HITG and Bahamas Harvest Church and interacts regularly with leadership teams.
This role typically operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility required to support a live operational environment. Availability during evenings, weekends, or peak periods may be needed to address time-sensitive people matters.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the General Manager
Works closely with:
• Operations Director
• Culinary Director
• Director of Guest Experience & Events
• Leadership teams across HITG and BHC
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in human resources, talent development, or workforce management
• Experience supporting recruitment and hiring processes
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in hospitality or multi-unit environments
• Experience supporting structured, high-engagement community or faith-based organizations
• Background in leadership development or training programs
• Experience working with HR systems and payroll coordination
