About the Role
The Environmental Services Lead provides day-to-day operational leadership for environmental services across Harvest in the Gardens.
Reporting to the Venue Services Manager, you will coordinate daily cleaning operations, support environmental services team members, maintain presentation standards, monitor facility cleanliness, and ensure all public and operational spaces remain safe, clean, and guest-ready.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position where success is measured by operational excellence, attention to detail, guest satisfaction, and the consistent presentation of the Harvest environment.

Key Responsibilities
Environmental Services Operations
- Lead the daily execution of environmental services across all assigned areas.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and daily assignments.
- Ensure all public areas, attractions, dining spaces, offices, and support areas remain clean and guest-ready.
- Monitor presentation standards throughout operating hours.
- Coordinate opening, daytime maintenance, and closing cleaning activities.
Facility Presentation
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the property.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, sanitized, and inspected regularly.
- Monitor entrances, walkways, seating areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure waste and recycling areas remain clean and properly maintained.
- Support seasonal beautification and presentation initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and direction to Environmental Services team members.
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily priorities.
- Coach team members on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and presentation standards.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and stewardship.
- Support onboarding and operational training in partnership with the People & Talent team.
- Recognize outstanding performance and encourage continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Conduct routine inspections of guest-facing and operational areas.
- Identify presentation concerns and resolve them promptly.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
- Support operational readiness during peak guest periods and special events.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Promote safe chemical handling and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or safety risks promptly.
- Support emergency response procedures when required.
- Reinforce company policies and environmental standards.

What a Typical Week Looks Like
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role.
- 45–50%: Supervising daily cleaning operations and maintaining presentation standards
- 20–25%: Coaching team members and conducting quality inspections
- 15–20%: Supply management, scheduling support, and operational planning
- 10–15%: Cross-functional communication, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events are a regular part of this role.
You will be expected to:
- Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the property.
- Coach team members throughout each shift.
- Respond quickly to cleanliness concerns.
- Conduct routine inspections during operating hours.
- Ensure every guest-facing area consistently reflects Harvest's standards.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial services, facilities support, or hospitality operations.
- Previous experience providing team leadership or shift leadership preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality, resorts, entertainment venues, or multi-use facilities.
- Certification or training in environmental services, sanitation, or workplace safety is an asset.
- Experience coordinating cleaning operations during high-volume events.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cleaning equipment maintenance.
- Passion for creating clean, welcoming environments and developing people.
