Bahamas Harvest Church operates as a dynamic faith-based organization and a central part of the campus, supported by technology systems that enable large-scale gatherings, communication, and engagement.

Together, these environments rely on stable, well-managed technology systems to support both daily operations and high-volume experiences.

We are seeking a Director of IT & Systems who will ensure that all technology infrastructure and operational systems function reliably across both organizations.


About the Role

The Director of IT & Systems is responsible for the technology infrastructure and operational systems supporting both HITG and Bahamas Harvest Church.

This includes:

• Point-of-sale systems and payment processing
• Network and internet infrastructure
• Security and surveillance systems
• Operational software platforms
• Technology supporting events and large gatherings
• Vendor coordination and system support

This role operates as a shared service ensuring that technology systems support both operational and campus environments effectively.


Key Responsibilities

System Reliability & Infrastructure
• Maintain reliable operation of all technology systems across HITG and BHC
• Ensure network connectivity and system uptime
• Monitor system performance and prevent disruptions
• Maintain readiness of all equipment and infrastructure


Operational Technology Support
• Support teams using operational systems (POS, software, etc.)
• Ensure systems function effectively during service and events
• Respond to system issues and coordinate resolution
• Provide guidance on system usage and improvements


Vendor & Partner Coordination
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution
• Ensure vendor performance meets operational needs


System Planning & Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology
• Support implementation of new systems or upgrades
• Ensure systems align with business and campus needs


Cross-Functional Integration
• Ensure systems support F&B operations, guest experience, and events
• Support technology needs for large gatherings and programming
• Coordinate with leadership teams on system requirements
• Support reporting and operational data systems


What a Typical Week Looks Like

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong operational focus.

• 40–50%: System monitoring, maintenance, and issue resolution
• 20–25%: Vendor coordination and system management
• 15–20%: Operational and campus support
• 10–15%: Planning, improvements, and system upgrades

Availability during peak periods and rapid response to system issues are critical.


Reporting Structure

Reports to the General Manager

Works closely with:
• Operations Director
• Culinary Director
• Director of Guest Experience & Events
• Director of Talent & Culture
• Leadership teams across HITG and BHC


Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing operational technology systems
• Experience supporting systems in hospitality, retail, or service environments
• Strong understanding of POS systems, networks, and infrastructure
• Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-concept or high-volume environments
• Experience supporting structured, high-engagement community or campus environments
• Familiarity with security systems and surveillance infrastructure
• Experience implementing or upgrading operational systems
