Position Overview
The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional table service by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized hospitality throughout every guest's dining experience.
Reporting to the Full Service Restaurant Team Lead, this role guides guests through the menu, delivers food and beverages accurately, anticipates guest needs, and creates memorable dining experiences through outstanding service. Restaurant Servers work collaboratively with Hosts, Bartenders, Food Runners, Bussers, and the Culinary Team to ensure seamless restaurant operations.

Areas of Stewardship
Guest Experience Stewardship
The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing attentive, personalized, and memorable service throughout every stage of the guest's dining experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome guests warmly and introduce yourself professionally.
- Guide guests through the menu and answer questions confidently.
- Offer recommendations on food, beverages, and daily specials.
- Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests throughout their meal to anticipate and respond to their needs.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly or escalate them appropriately.
- Present checks accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return.
Team Member Stewardship
- Work collaboratively with Hosts, Bartenders, Food Runners, and Bussers to deliver seamless service.
- Communicate guest requests clearly with the Culinary Team.
- Support fellow team members during busy service periods.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and menu briefings.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and guest-focused team culture.
Operational Stewardship
- Prepare assigned service stations before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room.
- Ensure tables are properly set and presentation standards are maintained.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service standards.
- Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties.
- Report operational concerns or guest feedback to leadership.
Financial Stewardship
- Promote menu items, beverages, and featured specials through suggestive selling.
- Maximize guest satisfaction to encourage repeat visits and gratuities.
- Accurately process guest payments and maintain cash-handling standards.
- Help minimize food waste and service errors through attention to detail.
Cross-Functional Stewardship
- Coordinate with the Culinary Team to ensure timely food delivery.
- Communicate effectively with Bartenders regarding beverage orders.
- Support Venue Services in maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Assist with special events and promotional activities as needed.
- Foster collaboration across all restaurant team members.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Experience using POS systems.
- Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
Working Conditions
This position requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
The role requires extended periods of standing and walking while working in a fast-paced, guest-facing restaurant environment.
